Dear Websphere Portal Specialist…
We will be holding a WPUG Meeting on 9th December to take advantage of Pam Chandor, IBM’s World Wide Portal Executive, being in town and being available to speak to us. Plus, the latest release of Portal will be on the ground by then so it will be a good opportunity to hear both what’s happening and what’s new. Topics for the meeting will be:
Pam Chandor will provide insights into what she is seeing globally with adoption of WebSphere Portal in 2009 and where she believes clients will utilise WebSphere Portal in 2010 and beyond.
Websphere Portal Update will focus on what are the most exciting new features of Portal/WCM 6.1.5
GE Case Study - GE Capital are using Websphere Portal 6.1 on an SOA foundation to realise best practice on-line servicing in consumer financial services with an emphasis on delivering deep personalisation, leading edge security, process digitization, convenience and providing a web 2.0 "wow factor". This presentation will cover they "why" - what were the business reasons for this project, and the "how" - how has the technology been used to achieve the business objectives.
Coremetrics - The announcement this year that Portal would be more tightly integrated with leading web analytics software is great news, but what can the analytics software provide? Coremetrics is one of the leading analytics vendors. Here directly from Coremetrics on how web analytics software can help to maximise the effectiveness of your portal implementation.
