No Search Rules in WCM 6.0 - What's the alternative?

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can help me with this.

Now that search rules have been completely taken out in WCM 6.0, it is causing a bit of an issue for us. Currently, alot of the existing categories migrated from WCM 5.1 (we recently did an upgrade from 5.1 to 6.0) have been placed under every menu as opposed to referencing a search rule which provides a restriction on current category setup (which it did in WCM 5). For example, below is a standard menu used on our website:

This causes two main issues:

1. The menu takes a long time to open because of the number of categories attached to it.

2. Everytime a new category is created, it has to be applied to every single menu that utilises the current category setting - this would take days.

Surely there is a way to put all the categories into one central location and then reference it from the menu?

Any help would be greatly appreciated smile

Cheers,

Andy.
